What the problem looks like
Signs you're dealing with this
A single dented or cracked section
A backed-into bottom panel or a cracked section is often replaceable on its own if the rest of the door is sound.
Impact damage from a vehicle
The most common cause we see. If the damage is confined to one or two sections and the frame is straight, a panel swap can save the door.
A door that still functions but looks beat up
If the mechanics are fine and it's purely cosmetic, replacing the affected panel restores the look without a full replacement.

How we do it
Our process
STEP 01Confirm it's worth it
We check whether the panel is still manufactured and whether the frame is straight. If a match isn't available or the door is aging, we'll tell you honestly that replacement is the better value.
STEP 02Match the section
We identify the door's model and panel design so the replacement matches the rest as closely as possible.
STEP 03Swap the panel
The damaged section comes out, the new one goes in, and the hinges and rollers are transferred or renewed as needed.
STEP 04Re-balance
A new panel changes the door's weight slightly, so we re-check balance and spring tension before finishing.

Parts & materials
- Matching manufacturer sections where available
- Replacement hinges, rollers, and hardware for the new section
What affects cost
Panel replacement is usually cheaper than a full door when the model matches. But if the panel is discontinued or several sections are damaged, a new door can cost about the same and look better, we'll lay out both options.

Questions
Panel Replacement FAQ
Can you always replace just one panel?
Only when the door's model is still available and the rest of the door is sound. Older doors are often discontinued, in which case a new panel won't match and full replacement makes more sense.
Will the new panel match the rest of the door?
If the model is current, yes, we match the section style. On sun-faded doors there can be a slight color difference between old and new sections, which we'll point out before you commit.
Is a panel repair cheaper than a new door?
Usually, when it's a single section on a matchable door. When multiple panels are hit or the door is old and discontinued, the math often favors a full replacement.
My insurance is covering a vehicle-impact claim, can you help?
We provide clear itemized written estimates that you can submit for a claim, and we can quote both a panel repair and a full replacement so you and your adjuster can choose.
