How we do it
Our process
STEP 01Recommend the right drive
We match the opener to your door and how you use it, belt drive for a quiet unit under a bedroom, wall-mount to free up ceiling space, chain drive for a budget-friendly workhorse.
STEP 02Remove and mount
We take out the old unit and mount the new motor, rail, and trolley, checking that the header and ceiling supports are solid.
STEP 03Wire and calibrate
Safety sensors go in at the base of the tracks, travel limits are set, and force is calibrated so the door reverses correctly on contact.
STEP 04Connect and hand off
We program every remote and connect Wi-Fi models to the app, then show you battery backup, manual release, and the safety features.

Parts & materials
- Belt-drive openers (quietest, ideal over living space)
- Chain-drive openers (durable and economical)
- Wall-mount / jackshaft openers (free ceiling space, quiet)
- Major brands including LiftMaster (our preferred), Genie, Marantec, and Craftsman
- Battery backup, Wi-Fi and app control, bright LED lighting, and built-in camera options on capable models
What affects cost
Cost depends on the drive type and features, a basic chain drive is the low end, a belt-drive Wi-Fi unit with battery backup is more. We quote the unit and installation together, itemized in writing.
Safety note
Every install includes photo-eye safety sensors and auto-reverse testing with a real obstruction, so the door stops for anything in its path.

Questions
Opener Installation FAQ
Belt drive or chain drive?
Belt drives are much quieter and are the right call if there's a bedroom above or beside the garage. Chain drives cost less and are plenty durable for a detached or unoccupied-above garage. We'll help you weigh it.
Do new openers work when the power is out?
Models with battery backup do, the door keeps opening through an outage, which matters in a monsoon-season power cut. It's an option we recommend for Arizona homes.
Can I open my garage from my phone?
Yes, on Wi-Fi-capable openers. You get app control, alerts if the door is left open, and the ability to let in a delivery remotely. We set it all up during installation.
Will a new opener work with my old door?
In most cases yes, as long as the door is balanced and in good shape. We check the springs and balance first, a new opener on an unbalanced door just wears out early.
How long does installation take?
A standard replacement is typically done in a single visit, including programming and a safety walkthrough.
What opener brands do you install?
All the major brands. We prefer LiftMaster for its reliability and app support, and we also install Genie, Marantec, and Craftsman. If you have a brand preference or want a specific feature, tell us and we'll match it.
