Cable Issues Fixed Today
The number one reason people call us in a hurry is when a garage door cable has failed, and the door comes out of the tracks. These crooked door situations can often be a scary overwhelming experience. In rare cases, the door can even fall on the ground entirely. Most common though, the door will be crooked slightly with a few rollers popping out of the track. If the cable failed while the door was all the way open, it can usually be very difficult to get the door closed. The cables are under extreme tension of the garage door springs and when they fail, the cables release that tension they are under. Usually one cable will fail at a time, which is why the door comes out of the track. The remaining cable stays under tension of the springs and that tension is what pulls the door at a slant. An off-track door is not a repair anyone should mess with unless professionally trained.
